3 days trip to Ait Ben Haddou UNESCO site and Merzouga

Day 1: Marrakech – ait ben haddou – Ouarzazate
Your 3 days trip begins today. Pick up at 8 o’clock in the morning from your accommodation in Marrakech. We will depart for Ouarzazaté through the famous Tizi N’tichka pass (2260m), over the High Atlas Mountains, with snow on its peaks most of the year; appreciate the beauty of the landscape on the twisted road through the Berber villages. We’ll get to Ait Ben Haddou village, where stands the famous Kasbah, built by the last Berber chieftain El Glaoui Ethami, late 19th century.

The Kasbah is recognized as a UNESCO matrimonial historical site, now a house of many Glaoui family members. Lunch by the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou and continue to Ouarzazate, “the Hollywood of Africa”, where you have the option to visit and see many props used in movies you may already have seen such as Gladiator, Kondon, and Alexander the Great. Then, Mummy, Asterix…Overnight accommodation will be in a hotel in Ouarzazate.

Day 2 : Ouarzazate – Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga
Departure from Ouarzazate Passing by the Skoura Oasis, we visit the Amridil Kasbah, then the valley of the Pinks and the road of the miles Kasbahs in Kalaat M’gouna, the famous city for the annual festival of the pinks (see a gum of natural products extracted from the pinks), then to continue to Dadès Valley and Gorges, one of the most beautiful oases of Morocco. The lunch will be in a local restaurant. After you will have a departure to TODRA gorges in Tinghir(to take a walk in the gorges bordered by high cliffs).

Then pass by the town of ERFOUD in ZIZ Valley (a city known by the Marmar factory for the fabrication of fossils), then the town of Rissani, and economic center of the area and the city known by its market, Kasbahs, and monuments Alaouite. After you finish the visit to the market, you will continue towards Merzouga. After a Berber tea, you will have a camel trip to the bivouac (about 2 hours) to spend the night under a Berber tent in the middle of the dunes (the Erg Chebbi). You can take pictures of the sunset and sunrise on the dunes.

Day 3: Merzouga – Draa Valley – Anti Atlas Mountains – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
Very early in the morning, you will have an appointment with the sunrise. You wake up very early to contemplate the spectacular sunrise you have never seen at the top of the dunes. Afterward, we will return to your hotel on camels for breakfast. Afterward, you will start the last day of your tour by crossing an arid pre-desert area. You will have stops in the middle of the Draa Valley to enjoy beautiful views of Morocco’s long river. Your journey continues to Ouarzazate crossing the Anti-Atlas mountains. Lunch will be at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, you will continue to the red city of Marrakech. Then end of tour 3 days trip.
